Blue: A Continuation of Girlhood

Girlhood reflected the transitional time between being a girl and a woman.

Blue, is the freedom that I discovered after realizing I will always be both. 

We would lay on riverbeds and pink duvets, life was scary, but we were no longer so afraid. 

Let’s swim under the stars and talk about love, 

Let’s show our bodies as something to be admired, not ashamed of. 

I believe becoming a woman gave me the freedom to be unapologetically a girl, 

And I wouldn’t have been able to do that without the group of girls that I am lucky enough to 

call my friends.

This is my continuation of girlhood, 

It comes in pink and Blue.

Blue- The nickname of a girl that helped me grow into the woman/girl that I am today.
